The Specialist Mental Health Services for Older People (SMHSOP) Clinical Leader is responsible for providing expert clinical and service development advice to the management and staff of Greater Southern Area Health Service on matters relating to Specialist Mental Health Services for Older People (SMHSOP).
This will include:
* the provision of clinical leadership, supervision, and support to SMHSOP clinicians of all professional disciplines;
* the provision of education to mental health staff and to staff of other services in partnership;
* the implementation of State/Federal Government initiatives;
* the development and implementation of projects as required; and
* direct clinical work.
The appointee will primarily work with SMHSOP teams within Western Mental Heath Drug and Alcohol including Griffith and Deniliquin, though engagement with staff in other areas may be required. The position will be located at either Griffith or Deniliquin.
